Notably, several artists have taken a bold step in a new artistic direction, pushing boundaries and redefining their sound to captivate audiences in a whole new way. We also get to hear from artists that we have not heard from in a while, plus some drops from new emerging talents in the rap scene who are making waves with their fresh perspectives and raw energy.

K.O - On The Way (From 'Losing Lerato 2)

After dropping what most would consider hip hop song of the year in 2024 (Let Me Cook featuring Maglera Doe Boy), K.O is back with a whole different sound. The rapper took to Instagram that he has been experimenting with pop rock sonics. The record titled "On The Way" serves as a soundtrack to South Africa's current top charting Netflix film, Losing Lerato 2.

Loki - Amaphanta (Featuring Saudi & Emtee)

Months after dropping his 8-track EP, "Free Agent," Loki is back with a new single titled "Amaphanta" featuring Saudi and Emtee. Both the single and the EP are part of his rollout strategy, aiming to create anticipation for his upcoming debut album, which he has been diligently working on.

Kelvin Momo - Got The Feeling Interlude (Featuring A-Reece)

Renowned figure in the Amapiano scene, Kelvin Momo, has released his 5th studio album, a pleasant surprise for fans given his usual December release pattern. The South African music community has warmly welcomed this mid-year drop, particularly intrigued by the unexpected collaboration with A-Reece on the track "Got The Feeling," serving as an interlude in the extensive 30-song album. It's intriguing to witness more rappers venturing into the vibrant Amapiano genre, showcasing their versatility and embracing new musical horizons.

Tony Dayimane - Broke

Returning with a new single called Broke, Tony Dayimane revealed that he has partnered with management company MODAR global. This collaboration puts him in the company of artists such as Sjava, Musa Keys, and Soul Revolver.

DJ Speedsta - My Way (Featuring Blxckie & Vsinare)

Prominent South African Hip Hop DJ, DJ Speedsta is back with a new single titled My Way. Produced by Zoochi Coke Dope, this song marks Speedsta's first release of 2024. Featuring Blxckie and Vsinare, the track showcases Speedsta's discerning taste in music. The combination of a smooth saxophone and a powerful lock drum gives the song a delightful vibe.

Lowfeye - Amanzi Ewolinji

Hailing from Dundee, Kwa-Zulu Natal, Lowfeye returns with a fresh release named Amanzi Ewolinji.

Even though he is still a member of the group Qwellers, the rapper maintains the same level of consistency in his solo career as he does with the group. Produced by Prodbynico and beatsbynxrth, the song serves as a preview to his upcoming mixtape of the same title, Amanzi Ewolinji.
