The anticipation is palpable as the nominations for the prestigious Metro FM Awards have officially been announced, igniting excitement across the South African music landscape.


These awards, celebrating the very best in South African music, will honor artists whose outstanding work was released between February 28, 2024, and February 28, 2025. Music lovers are already marking their calendars for Saturday, May 3, 2025, when the ceremony will be held at the Mbombela Stadium in Mpumalanga and broadcast live on

SABC1.


The Metro FM Awards are known for their dedication to recognizing diverse talent across various genres, reflecting the rich tapestry of South African music.
